FAQ's

How much should I expect to spend?

The total expense to Alexi Hubbell Photography before the session date is $250.00 - this is the booking fee and does not include prints and digitals.  1-2 weeks after your session, you will return for your viewing and ordering appointment (reveal). At this time you will decide what images you wish to buy and in what form., i.e., matted prints in a portfolio box, albums, framed prints, etc. At the ordering appointment clients spend between $900-$3,000, on average, most spend around $2,000.00 on their portraits.  See pricing page for more info. What you end up spending is entirely up to you. A la carte prints start at $90.00. View product pricing here. Please note that booking fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

What should I bring to a session?

Most of the outfits you see in our photos are available in our studio wardrobe. All clients have access to the studio wardrobe as part of the session fee. We have sizes from xs to 4x.

We do recommended you bring some things of your own to be comfortable and have options if you’d like. Most women think they don't own much that we can use but with a bit of creativity we can create totally unique looks for you. Have an open mind when looking thorough your closest. Sheer cover-ups, lace, leather, dresses, and fabrics like scarves can be great for these types of photos. We recommend that you treat yourself a little beforehand by going out and getting yourself a few pieces that make you feel amazing. This is a whole experience, after all.

Can I bring someone to the session and/or ordering appointment?

Boudoir Sessions: We do not allow guests to come to a boudoir session or ordering appointment (unless they were a part of the session itself) for a number of reasons. Over the years we have come to understand what works and what doesn't.

  • Boudoir is an intimate experience and we want to give you full one-on-one attention.

  • Being watched by a friend or partner could cause nerves to be higher.

  • We shoot in small, intimate spaces to have a connection to our subject. Additionally, ordering appointments are also intimate experiences.

  • Looking at your images in a safe, private setting is key.

  • You should be the only person deciding or having input into what images you enjoy and think you look the best in - this session is for you, above all.

All of that being said, we do offer couples sessions for the both of you to get intimate together and explore your relationship in a safe space. Please inquire for more info.

Glamour Portraits: If you would like to include anyone in your portrait session, please just let us know when you book your session. Additional hair and makeup fees will be applied at $100 per person.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, we offer payment plans on orders of $900 or more.  The booking fee ($250.00) is not included in this total and must be paid upfront to reserve your date. Payment plans may be for any duration, up to 3 months for $900 orders or above and 6 months for $2000 orders or above.  A payment agreement must be signed at your ordering appointment, with first payment paid. Payment plans must be set up on automatic payments with credit or debit cards. Products are not delivered to you, the client, until the final payment has been made, so keep this in mind when planning your session to give yourself plenty of time to pay off your total before you may need or want your products by.

How will you use my images?

While we retain the copyright, we don't share any boudoir-type images for advertising or promotion, unless we have your written permission. That is your art and you have the final say on how it is used, viewed, and shared. At your ordering appointment you will have the opportunity to sign off on how you would like us to use your images, if at all, i.e., full image rights, images without face, specific images you select from your gallery, only share with potential clients at consultations or ordering appointments. Your privacy, comfort, and peace of mind is our top priority. While we love sharing images so potential clients can see our scope of work and show women that all types and styles are welcome, we do not expect it.

Glamour and other types of portrait sessions are not of a sensitive nature so therefor, we do retain the right to use them on our website and other promotion platforms.

Can I have/buy the digital files?

For any prints and products you order through Alexi Hubbell Photography, a large, web-sized version of that image will be sent to you. We do offer digital file options a la carte as well. The price is $75 per file, $750 for 10, $2200 for 30, or $3200 for all digital files from your session.

We are a quality boutique studio and as such, one of our main purposes is to create wall art and printed collections for your home. We have expertise in framing, printing, sizing and displaying these pieces - this is part of our job. Digital files are not for printing and AHP does not guarantee other printer’s products.

Do you photograph only women?

While my website is very much about female empowerment, all genders are welcome here. I realize that confidence is not just a female issue. And in this day and age we have a lot more than just two gender labels. However you identify, you are welcome here, because everyone deserves self-love.

Can I Cancel or Reschedule a Session?

The sitting fee/retainer is non refundable in the event that you need to cancel your portrait session. Each client is allowed a one time free rescheduling of their shoot. The rescheduled shoot must take place within 60 days of their original shoot date. Please give us plenty of notice in the event you need to reschedule - we require a minimum of 2 weeks notice so that we may be able to fill your shoot date with another client. If you give notice of rescheduling after 2 weeks or more than once, a new sitting fee will be due for your new shoot date.
